When you reserve a car with Cozy Carriage Limousine, we will send you an email confirmation. If you don't receive it within an hour or so, check your spam folder; if it's not there, give us a call, and we'll double-check your email address and resend it. Once you receive it, you should read it to ensure all the details are correct. If you need to make any changes, call or email us any time - we're here 24 hours. If you neglect to read the email and any of the details are incorrect by our error or yours, you may not get your vehicle as ordered or if we show up, and you ordered it for the wrong date or time, you will incur a full charge. We also encourage you to call a day or two before to confirm your trip.

Sporting & Concert Events

Getting there is all of the fun; going home, not so much. Unless you rent our vehicle hourly and have paid for a parking pass, the logistics of picking you up after your event will absolutely involve walking and waiting. We have no control over traffic during these events and must follow the directions of the traffic directors and law enforcement at the venue, which often change. Please also note that smoking or eating is not permitted in any of our vehicles, and by Illinois State Law, transporting, serving, and/or consuming alcohol is permitted in our Stretch Limousines only. Our chauffeurs will immediately terminate your ride if you or your passengers disregard these rules or display any unsafe, unruly, or vulgar behavior.

Airport Delays & Cancellations

Our Reservation Management Software will monitor your incoming flight, but when weather events occur, sometimes even that is not reliable. We require that you call us to notify us of any delay, change, or cancellation of your scheduled flight to avoid being charged.

Terms of Service

Terms & Conditions/Reservation Agreement:

STANDARD RENTAL AGREEMENT

Deposits:

Reservations with a total of $300.00 or more will require a $100.00 non-refundable deposit to secure your reservation and will be charged to your credit card at the time the reservation is placed.

Additional Charges:

Charges incurred for wait time, extra stops, extra luggage, extra passengers, etc. may also be added to the verbal or written estimated amount. Overtime charges will apply at the prearranged time described on the transportation agreement and are charged at the rate of $1.00/min. for all vehicles after a 15-minute grace period.

Other Fees:

Customer assumes responsibility for any overtime fees and authorizes credit card charges to be made to cover these or any other costs due and not collected at the end of the ride.

Payment:

Final balance of monies due will be calculated and collected at the end of the ride for any reservation that is not pre-paid. All extra fees will be submitted after the trip is complete.

Cancellation Policy:

ALL CANCELLATIONS MUST BE DONE OVER THE PHONE 708-687-3900 in order to receive a cancellation number. No Shows and Late Cancellations for any reason shall incur a full charge on the credit card provided. Deposits and Pre-Paid Services on All reservations Are Non-refundable.

Cancellation Notice Requirements

Airport Reservations:

SEDANS: Require 2-hour cancellation notice otherwise full charge shall apply
SUV and Stretch Limousines: Require 24-hour notice prior to the reservation otherwise full charge shall apply

Point-To-Point/Transfer, Chartered, And Hourly Events:

SEDANS & SUVs: Require 4-hour cancellation notice otherwise full charge shall apply
Stretch Limousines: Require 48-hour notice prior to the reservation otherwise full charge shall apply.

Should Cozy Carriage Limousine Service prevail in any dispute, whether in arbitration or court, including obtaining a dismissal in court, Customer agrees to pay all of Cozy Carriage Limousine Service's costs and fees. "Costs and fees" mean all reasonable pre-award expenses of the arbitration or litigation, including the arbitrator’s fees, administrative fees, travel expenses, out-of-pocket expenses such as copying and telephone, court costs, witness fees, and attorney’s fees.

Company is not liable in the event of mechanical breakdown while on charter and will only be responsible for making up lost time at a mutually agreed date. The client assumes full financial liability for any damage to the limousine caused during the duration of the rental by them or any members of their party. A fee of 100.00 for each carpet or seat burn. Sanitation fee is 250.00. Alcohol Consumption and drug use is prohibited by law. Any fines will be paid for by the customer. The driver has the right to terminate the run without a refund (if there is blatant indiscretion on the part of the client(s)). It is Illegal to stand through the sunroof. Smoking is not permitted in any of our limousines. Overtime pay will apply after the first 15 minutes of prearranged time described on the run sheet. Not responsible for delays or the termination in winter caused by unsafe road conditions (ie. not salted, accidents, etc.). Not responsible for articles left in the limousine. Balances to be paid to the driver on the run date before the beginning of the run. Vehicles cannot be loaded beyond seating capacity.

1) ONE OR MORE STOPS & CHARTER TRIPS:

One stop in between a reservation must be within the first hour: $10.00 extra for the same city as the destination & $20.00 for a different city destination. If a reservation has 2 or more stops within itself or the wait time is more than 15 minutes the reservation will become a charter (hourly rate). All Charter trips are based on an hourly rate, a 3,4, or 5-hour minimum & those are consecutively in a row, not a split-up time arrangement. WAIT TIME: Every 15 minutes or more of wait time will round to a full hour.

2) NO SHOWS OR CANCELLATIONS:

Airport Reservations:

3) DEPOSITS & REFUNDS & CASH:

All deposits are non-refundable if the reservation is canceled after signing the contract. If the reservation is carried out, the deposit is applied after the vehicle is accessed for any damages to the interior & exterior. Upon receiving the contract or credit card authorization form, you will be charged for your deposit, usually the first full hour of reservation. This is subject to change or discussed at the time the reservation is made. If paying for a whole trip in cash, all cash payments must be paid 7 days before reservation or before the trip leaves to pick up address. If there are any valid discrepancies determined by Cozy Carriage Limousine Service, regarding the reservation, you will be credited back on the credit card you provided. We do not refund back CASH; we credit back the valid credit card you provide when holding the reservation.

4) DAMAGES & ILLEGAL/SEXUAL CONDUCT:

Any damage to a vehicle(s) interior & exterior will constitute extra charges. Any disorderly or illegal conduct, including the act of any illegal act or abusive nature toward the driver, will result in a termination of the trip as is & the full amount due will be charged to your responsibility & credit card. This also includes any sexual act or conduct in the vehicle. There will be cleaning charges for any damages, interior or exterior due to these events caused by any member of the actual party in the vehicle. NO EATING OR SMOKING IN ANY VEHICLE.

5) VEHICLE CONDITIONS:

You hereby agree to be responsible for any & all damages to the vehicle caused by yourself, or any member of your party. All vehicles are inspected the same day before the start time of the trip. The credit card listed here may be charged for any responsible damages. All fees are subject to change depending on the EXTENT & INTENT of damage to each vehicle. A sanitation fee of $500 will be charged for anyone who vomits or releases any bodily fluids or excretions inside any of the vehicles. NO SMOKING or EATING allowed in the vehicles.

6) ITINERARY:

Cozy Carriage Limousine Service requests a full itinerary of your event at least is needed within 7 days in advance of the service date, specifying exact times & locations, including exact details about which members of the event we expect to pick up. This allows for proper routing, travel times, weather & traffic variables. Cozy Carriage Limousine Service reserves the right to make recommendations/changes regarding your itinerary if the times are unrealistic. If any passengers are under the age of 21 years & the itinerary is changed for any reason while en route of the actual trip, you will be charged regardless.

7) GRATUITY& SURCHARGES:

A gratuity of 20 % will automatically be added to all reservations, including sedan, SUV, limousine, SUV limousine, bus & limo coach charters. Airport reservations have an airport tax that will also be charged for the full amount of the trip. Published prices, rates, fees, and specials are not guaranteed and are subject to change without notice.

We accept reservations online and over the phone. In order to hold the reservation
a deposit by credit card is required. Published prices rates, fees, and specials are not guaranteed and are subject to change without notice. Reservations for airport transportation may be canceled up to 48 Hours prior to arranged time. Weddings or themed charters as well as all hourly charter service and point-to-point event service reservations may be canceled up to 6 (six) weeks prior to arranged service day. All hourly charters and point-to-point service reservations require a deposit. Airport Cancellations customer no-shows will incur a 100% charge of the quoted rate on the credit card provided.

Deposit and prepays are not refundable. Cozy Carriage Limousine Service is not responsible for the delays or terminations caused by traffic, road conditions, weather conditions, mechanical breakdown/accidents, unknown/unforeseen mechanical failures, situations deemed "Acts of God", public enemies, the authority of law, quarantine, perils of navigation, or other events beyond our control. Cozy Carriage Limousine Service will endeavor to maintain the schedule submitted to its agent or employee, but the same is not guaranteed. If any of the above conditions or any other condition beyond its control make it, in the opinion of Cozy Carriage Limousine Service, inadvisable to operate vehicles, either from the place of origin or any point en route, Cozy Carriage Limousine Service shall not be liable therefore or be caused to be held for any damages for any reason whatsoever. Cozy Carriage Limousine Service is not liable in the event of mechanical breakdown while providing services and will only be responsible for making up lost time at a mutually agreed date. Cozy Carriage Limousine Service has a right to substitute one or more vehicles for a booked vehicle providing the Customer with the same or greater seating space in total. Cozy Carriage Limousine Service may also use third-party-owned vehicles. Itineraries must be in writing to our office at least 7 (seven) days prior to service date. Customer agrees to indemnify Cozy Carriage Limousine Service from any damages, attorney fees, and court costs resulting from any third-party claims as a result of the acts or omissions of the Customer, guests, passengers, or party. Cozy Carriage Limousine Service's driver will be furnished with a copy of the entire agreed itinerary and will be specifically instructed to strictly follow it, if you make any changes to the agreed-upon itinerary at the time of service, Cozy Carriage Limousine Service will not be responsible for damages or delays occurring due to the change of itinerary. Any downsizing of previously reserved duration of service or vehicles will not relieve the Customer from the responsibility of paying the full amount of the originally scheduled reservation.

Customer and Passenger Responsibilities

Conduct:

Proper and lawful conduct of all passengers is expected at all times in and/or about the vehicles. The Customer is responsible for his/her actions as well as his/her guests in every regard to this agreement. Customer assumes full financial liability, including consequential damages. Drug use is prohibited by law. Any fines will be paid for by the Customer. Customer is responsible for any illegal acts (this includes any sexual act or conduct in the vehicle) committed by the Customer or any passengers during the rental. Please be aware that upon any infraction of this agreement, the driver has the option of returning to the point of pick up or ending the service at the point of infraction, such as abuse of any kind, unruly or illegal behavior, and all monies shall be forfeited. Cozy Carriage Limousine Service reserves the right to refuse service as it deems appropriate. The driver has the right to terminate the ride without refund (if there is blatant indiscretion on the part of the Customer and/or their passenger(s). It is illegal to stand through the sunroof. Smoking is not permitted. Food is not permitted inside the vehicles. Vehicles cannot be loaded beyond seating capacity.

Damage:

Customer assumes full financial responsibility for any damages to the vehicle and/or property caused by the Customer, guests, passengers or party whether by accident, neglect or intent. The Customer assumes full financial liability for any damage to the vehicle caused during the duration of the rental by them or any passengers or members of their party. Sanitation fee is $500.00 for anyone who vomits or releases any bodily fluids or excretions inside any of the vehicles. Excessive drink spillage fee starts at $250.00. Customer Belongings: Cozy Carriage Limousine Service and the driver assume no responsibility for loss or damage to luggage including contents, carry-on items that may be damaged during loading/unloading or while in transit or any articles including but not limited to cash, jewelry, electronic, computer or telephone equipment left behind in the vehicle. In no event shall Cozy Carriage Limousine Service or any of its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, information providers or licensors be liable for any direct or indirect, incidental special, consequential, punitive, or other damage (regardless of the form of action) arising out of (i) use of service by any person, including but not limited to any damage caused by any reliance on, or any delays, inaccuracies, errors or omissions, in any information and content accessed over the service, (ii) any use or inability to use the service for whatever reason, including but not limited to communications failure or any other failure with transmission or delivery of any information accessed through the service, or (iii) any goods or services discussed, purchased or obtained, directly or indirectly though the service, in each case even if advised of the possibility of such damage.

Shuttle Services:

We require a coordinator to be provided by the customer as well as a coordinator's cellular phone number where we can be in touch during the shuttle service. The coordinator or the customer will be the sole party responsible for coordinating with the drivers and directing the passengers to the vehicles during the shuttle service. You acknowledge that the turnaround time may be longer than anticipated due to traffic conditions. Due to heavy traffic at pick-up and drop-off locations, failure of the coordinator in his/her duties may cause passengers to not properly locate the shuttle service. If the coordinator cannot be reached at the time of service, Cozy Carriage Limousine Service will not be responsible for any damages or delays.
